Do you already own some collection Teddy? That’s wonderful!

Of cause, the toys are not asking for food, but requiring a special care. Do not worry, it isn’t complicated :-)

First of all, keep in mind that collection toys are not suitable for children. It isn’t because we are worried about the bear’s destiny (well, we are), but for some safety reasons. First, the toys containing multiple small parts that dangerous for the children, and second, the mohair is not suitable for children joy. The nap can possibly dump, and the bear will lose his initial look. Of cause, the children are different. Some of them are even more careful then some adults :-) Please think of your child’s age before allowing him or her to play with the authentic model.

Dust, insects and direct sunrays are the most dangerous enemies of helpless little toys.

Sun rays will lead to the toys fading, dust and humidity, not only affects the appearance, but also contributes to the emergence of the parasite, and invites moth to damage the bear’s wool coat.

So the ideal place of residence for collectible toys is a showcase, set away from windows and out of the access of young children. Generally, the showcase is optional; you can settle your bears on a shelf. But then they should be cleaned from dust regularly (vacuum cleaner with small nozzles at low power). You can put on the shelves some lavender bags to protect the bears. This will scare the parasites and will serve you as a perfect aromatize :-)

If the toys nap is dumped and not shining any more, you can gently toothed the fleece with pets brushes. If that does not work, dunk the fleece using a damp pile of cloth (not letting the water to reach the mohair basis), comb, and leave to dry at room temperature.

If the toy became polluted, by no means don’t wash the bear in the water! Fastenings for Teddy bears are not resistant to moisture: they will drip and the iron fastenings will rust. In addition, the color will be obviously damaged. In case of heavy contamination use the carpets foam for cleaning. However, it is better not to resort to this method, if the bear is stained with paints.

Particular attention should be paid to a bear made of white material. The white mohair (alpaca, plush, viscose) is yellowed after time and dust creates a grayish hue. Advised to clean these bears as follows: remove all removable accessories, put the bear to into a plastic bag poured with the starch (or semolina), tie the package, shake it gently to disperse the starch (or semolina) along the bears nap. Starch (or semolina) is adsorbing the dirt and a cleaning the bear’s coat a bit. After such a cleansing the bears nap need to by hackled and vacuumed carefully.

Follow these simple rules, and the bear will please you for a long time by its great look :-)
